CarLock Deep Sleep Mode

CarLock introduces an intelligent feature called Deep Sleep Mode, designed to conserve vehicle battery power when your vehicle remains idle for an extended period. In this blog post, we will delve into the functionalities of the Deep Sleep Mode and how it optimizes battery consumption during periods of inactivity. We understand the need for reliable vehicle security solutions without compromising the vehicle’s battery life.

Deep Sleep Mode: Preserving Battery Power

When your vehicle has been stationary for more than 3 days, the CarLock device automatically enters Deep Sleep Mode. This mode ensures that minimal power is drawn from your vehicle’s battery, allowing it to remain dormant while maintaining essential functionalities.

You will be notified in the CarLock app when your CarLock device enters deep sleep mode.

*The notification is only available in the app on the Android phone at the moment.

Reduced vibration sensitivity:

This mode brings about a few alterations to the alert system, primarily affecting the device’s vibration sensitivity. While in this mode, the device’s vibration sensitivity is reduced. This adjustment is made to prevent false alarms triggered by minimal vibrations or environmental factors, such as wind or passing vehicles.

It’s important to note that the reduction in vibration sensitivity does not compromise the device’s ability to detect significant events accurately. The CarLock device is still designed to recognize movements like unauthorized towing or break-ins, ensuring that you receive alerts when it matters most.

Cloud Connection and Notification Delay:

Another impact of the Deep Sleep Mode is the temporary disconnection of the device from the CarLock Cloud to conserve power. Consequently, in the absence of an active connection, it may take longer for the device to connect and send notifications to your smartphone.

However, rest assured that the CarLock device diligently resumes its Cloud connection as soon as an event is detected. So, while there may be a slight delay in receiving notifications during the Deep Sleep Mode, the system restores its functionality when it senses movement or any relevant trigger.

Exiting the Deep Sleep Mode:

As soon as you start using your vehicle, the CarLock device detects this activity and automatically transitions out of Deep Sleep Mode.

The safety of your vehicle is of utmost importance, and CarLock is here to provide you with peace of mind, ensuring your vehicle remains protected whenever and wherever you need it. By reducing vibration sensitivity and temporarily disconnecting from the Cloud, the device aims to strike a balance between security and efficiency.
